Water

Water quality is an important topic to consider when heating it up. Water hardness can precipitate from solution under high temperature and pressure conditions. The hard water minerals created during the heating process are capable of adhering to the coils (more attracted to copper than to stainless) and will reduce the water capacity that can be heating up. Additionally, the hard water minerals can pass through the heater and into your plumbing clogging end fixture aerators. Untreated water will require more frequent service and maintenance on your tankless water heater.
