Compressed Air Cleaning

The other important periodic maintenance to complete is a compress air cleaning. The heater is prone to the combustion air around it. If it contains contaminants like lint from a nearby dryer, grease from a busy kitchen, or drawing combustion air from the outside but too close to a porch light or bushes that can suck up bugs and leaves. An EC90 will occur due to insufficient or dirty combustion air.

Use compressed air to clear out the fan motor assembly, front cover and cabinet from any contaminants it sucked in for the combustion process.

This video demonstrated the fan servicing on an older NR product. The same procedure can be applied to all heaters as they contain similar parts just laid out differently in the heater.
